    Password Incorrect

Since the latest update in Win10, the computer tells me my password is incorrect. I am entering it properly, I have used the virtual keyboard on the HP Pavilion. I have tried all the "fixes" I can find on the internet. I cannot boot into safe mode, because it still wants the password. I have reinstalled/recovered Windows from the fixit menu.

At this point, I am out of ideas. The computer came with Windows installed, so I don't have the DVD's or recovery disc.

    Can anyone help me?

Reset Password of User Account in Windows 10

If you have local account you can use Hiren's BootCD to reset local user account password.

    • Boot your computer with Hiren’s BootCD PE.
    • Goto Start Menu -> Securiy -> Passwords -> NT Password Edit
    • Open your SAM file (It is usually located in C:\Windows\System32\config\SAM).
    • Click your username and the click ‘Change password’. To set a password, type your password both ‘New password’ and ‘Verify’ fields and then click to ‘OK’. To remove the password, leave both ‘New password’ and ‘Verify’ fields blank and then click to ‘OK’.

    Download | Hiren's BootCD PE

I have used some of the YouTube "fixes", with no success. I tried Hiren's BootCD PE, without success. Since using Hiren's, when Windows boots, I immediately get a "password incorrect" message, without ever having entered a password. I removed the passwords via Hiren's, but I don't get a chance to try it, because the "incorrect" message comes up immediately.
Any more ideas? I'm getting desperate.

If its local user account password Hiren's BootCD should have reset the password try booting to Safe Mode to see what happens.

Booting up in Safe Mode changes nothing. Disconnecting from the network changes nothing.

I can't do that process. The instructions all seem to require me to be in windows. My problem is: I can't get into Windows. The only way I can boot this thing is thru the Hiren's boot disc. Is there a way to accomplish this task thru that?

No if you scroll to Enable or Disable Built-in Administrator in Command Prompt at Boot section of the tutorial you will see the instructions for enabling Administrator account from Windows Recovery Environment.
