Remove account after NN days of inactivity

It is not something one does not like to speak about often, but death is a fact of life.

In this respect Google seems to has an option to remove the Google account after a certain period of inactivity.
I think one can set the period (upto 18 months). Google's default is 3 months I believe.
A good article can be found on helpdeskgeek.com
How To Activate Google Inactive Account Manager

Google itself doesn't seem to have a kind of Help file showing what pages to expect when starting the "Inactive Account Manager".

Q: Maybe I am overlooking it, but I vainly tried to find something similar within my Outlook account, does Outlook have something similar? (i.e. automatically remove all services after a certain period of inactivity)

First a reminder should be sent to the user, allowing time to respond. User may be on vacation. In case of no response, maybe a 2nd reminder, then if there is still no response, delete all that is related to the account.

Hotmail and it's successor Outlook.com used to have a statement about an account becoming inactive/dormant after 30 days of no access to the account/s. However, I was remiss in not accessing when having issues last fall and that did not appear to be the case, still have active account in both.

    Was ...

So at one point in time they disabled that 'service' for some unknown reasons?
30 days is way too short: after a long holiday you may find your account being disabled then.
Three months or six months or more reasonable.

Hence, Outlook does not offer a solution on that point. I don't know when they will delete an account.

Actually, the other day I was able to reuse a 4-year old Outlook account that I created for my wife.
However, she is using gmail (on her Android tablet, crap, but so be it) and I forgot about it.
The only mails were reminders from Outlook calendar, like Thanksgiving, Veteran's Day, Election Day, Halloween, Columbus Day, Father's Day. That stopped in 2017. After 3 years it was still active.
