Windows 10: How to rename C:\ users Solved

    How to rename C:\ users


    I bought a new Toshiba laptop running Windows 8.1.Recently, I upgraded to windows 10.
    But now I noticed that my user folder is named as it world. And the path is C:\Users\it world .
    please help me to change it to C:\Users\Shraavan.Please..........

    Here's how to do it... BUT... it takes a while and is quite involved.

    Why not create another user, say Shraavan.
    Make sure make Shraavanan is an administrator.
    Copy/save your themes, files and/or settings over to Shraavan.
    Log off then back on as Shraavan.
    Now delete the old user account (it world).

Hello. I guess since i installed windows 10 using my microsoft account, my user folder got named after my microsoft mail, or some part of it anyway. So am wondering if it's possible to rename the user folder somehow?
As the title says. I can right-click on a folder in Edge favorites and click rename. Once the new name is typed in there seems to be no way to save it. No matter what I do it reverts to the previous name. Is it like this for everyone else? Jim
