    New info which may help

As I was reading through some tutorials, a suggestion to clear files arose to create storage space. So I found the system information page which identified an address which windows recognizes as the official owner : nurse2nutz @Outlook.com. It is an old address I had discarded when I couldn't access that account. I shall research my notes to see if it has a PIN associated with it.
Thank you to Macboatmaster and Jaycee for your help. The more I learn the more I realize the size of the iceberg of information i don't know. I'll report back on my progress when I can.

    Re: Hello

    MacBoatmaster,
How nice it is to see you are in Ten Forums too.
I followed Kari's lead and tested an earlier model Laptop (the one you helped me nurse along), and sure enough that's where the problem lay.
In the meantime I did a factory reset of the Aspire, which cleared up the HELLO issue and created another (For which I'll start a separate thread.
For the old Toshiba: I did a clean install of Win 10 and have kept it isolated from every other device in my home. But alongside Windows I loaded UBUNTU.
Thank you MacBoatmaster for you inspiration to explore other parts of the computer.

    Hi Macboatmaster,
I had two difficulties: the first was finding yours (and the other helpful people) replies to these threads. I thought they automatically popped up as if they were coming to my mailbox (where I got the message "you have a reply.."). I have since learned of 'click the heading'. You and Kari were both correct : the problem was the PIN created on a different machine. My inept bumbling around adding new accounts on different PCs and trying them on different PCs (thinking that all PCs think alike) just made matters worse. I still have all those accounts, until I find a way to pare them down. So out of frustration, I did a system reset on the ACER (which though it wiped out all my settings on that PC, it did enable me to set a new PIN specific to it) and created a new set of difficulties. I hope I have turned off HELLO, but I haven't run into it yet to determine if it is going to be uncooperative. And bought another PC with a different OS.
THank you folks for you help .

Cheers, I think that was the LONG many post thread on another site, when we managed to get the laptop loading windows 10 a little faster than it had done, if I remember correctly

I will see if I can assist when you do so
