I have already trying to restore my Windows to previous restore point, but it always failed to restore and I don't remember the error code.

I will try it again or trying to repair the installation later.

Unfortunately System Restore is infamous for failing to restore successfully. It does no harm if it fails and isn't worth pursuing. When it works it's great. Some have given up on it.

Even had one case where SR failed to restore- yet fixed the problem!

A system restore point would be simpler and quicker if you have one.

I take it you've not yet adopted routinely using disk imaging (problem with that is it affects data on the partition too).

    From
    Windows 10 Tutorial Index

    see
Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

    Summary of that:
You need a Win 10 iso for build 2004: rt click, Mount iso, open new drive letter, double click setup.exe
Get this error after trying to restore system.

Not worth pursuing SR failures - go for the in-place upgrade repair. Might even fix SR!

There are fixes for that error posted e.g.

Sometimes after a few weeks or months SR starts working again...

Okay, I will trying to perform in place upgrade repair. Need to download Windows ISO first, because the previous one has been deleted.

Thank you dalchina, I will update this thread after upgrading.

    Hi Dalchina,

in the end I had to format and reinstall.

because restore points and iAP are not helpful at all and always fail when processed.

Restore points sometimes fail when restoring- once effected a repair for me despite reported failure- and then sometimes start working again. When they work- great.

Now make sure you start a regular routine of disk imaging- as soon as possible- before something breaks- or you break something. E.g. Macrium Reflect (free) + large enough external storage.

A bit late now but I had issues with PIN option missing. This solution worked for me.
