    sysprep created new admin folder

I saw this problem in a very old post on this forum. I accidentally Fragged my computer after several years of no problems. I unintentionally ran sysprep. Now I have 2 admin user folders. The original Alan and the new one alanw. Can't restore from older image. The new alanw account shows in properties as Desktop-03HDQQ9. All folders Drive security settings are greyed out and I can't make any changes. I've tried everything I could find on this and I'm out of ideas. Please Help.

    Welcome to the Forum.

Do you want to delete the new user (alanw) and keep the original (Alan)?

    Restart and login as Alan.
Open Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\User Accounts\Manage Accounts.
Select alanw account and delete it. (account and data)

Won't work. There is only one user in the user accounts. Its my full name and email associated with my microsoft account. The 2 accounts I mentioned are just in explorer (file manager). I tried to add another user and I can't. It say's I need an app from the Microsoft Store and asks if I want to download it. Only the NO button shows. There has to be a registry edit of some kind to get rid of alanw and restore Alan. I've been down the fresh install road before and I really don't want to go there. I takes me weeks to reinstall everything (programs, settings, and keys). There are so many ways to save a windows install. Why don't they have a disk image restore tool that will work with a previous install image.

I have another good question. Why can't the windows installer leave your documents, pictures, downloads, etc. folders where you moved them. Every time I do an upgrade I have to set the location back to the hard drives and away from my SSD boot drive. I tried to do a repair with an in place May upgrade which didn't help anything. So I rolled it back, but now those folders are all on my SSD again. Some day Linux will be the only OS anyone uses.

Can you post an image of the two accounts you see on explorer (file manager)?
    - Open Explorer and go where you see the 2 accounts.
    - Open the snipping tool (%windir%\system32\SnippingTool.exe)
    - Take a snapshot and save to your drive.

On the Quick Reply, select the image button on the top menu (near Unlink) select from computer tab, browse to the saved file - Upload
