Odd account issues every reboot since Windows 10 2004 Update

I have been experiencing some odd account issues with my PC since the 2004 Feature Update.

At login, I am told that my Outlook account had an issue and I am asked to log back in.

I have something similar with 1909, I randomly get prompted to correct an account issue.

I have the exact same problem with a Synology DS212. This is with an HP laptop that was just upgraded with Windows 10 2004 a few days ago and since then, every time I restart the laptop I have to disconnect the Synology and then re-map it. My main desktop still running 1909 does not have this issue and I will not upgrade it until I am certain, this and other reported problems, have been corrected. I had a chat with a Microsoft tech who confirmed that they are aware of the problem and will likely be corrected in the next update however, he did not give me the confidence that this is really the case since he also said that they had the same problem with previous version(s)... Will have to wait and see.

I do want to say that I have a second, olde NAS from Dlink that does NOT exhibit the same problem and is available for access without having to remap.

Happy to hear I'm not the only one. The Outlook email issue seems to have resolved itself, but the Microsoft account issue persists. I've just stopped logging in every time.

Just wanted to provide an update as I found a solution for the Synology NAS drive remapping issue. For years I have been using the network IP to map the drive, of course without any issues until Windows 10 version 2004 update, in the form of say \\192.168.1.xx\DiskStation. For testing purposes in an attempt to find a solution, even though the Microsoft Tech DID NOT have a solution, I remapped the drive instead with the IP rather with the name as : \\DiskStation\DiskStation and since then all's well and there are no issues of having to remap the drive. Hope this works for others with the same problem.

I was prompted to install another Windows Feature Update 2004 package last night (KB4565503). The issue still presents itself with no fixes or improvements.

Even though I thought my workaround would work, it did not! I also updated my laptop this morning with the latest 2004 update and as you mentioned, did NOT resolve the issue. Microsoft asleep at the switch...

Today, I noted the first instance of an issue I've seen others with the 2004 Feature Update experiencing.

My internet connection icon in the bottom right notification tray says that my network status is "No internet, secured"

However, I do have internet as evidenced by my ability to post this right now...

Still experiencing the account login issue despite several attempts at remedying it and installing the "Feature update to Windows 10, version 20H2"
