Windows 10 Stucked at Login Screen

    Hi everyone,

To get right to the problem at hand: I ran SFC and it found problems and fixed them, but now I'm stuck at the Windows 10 login screen. I put my pin but it just reloads the login screen and it just asks for it again. No matter the login method, it just does the same.

I tried shutting down, restarting, etc. But the problem is still there. I also tried using Start-Up Repair, but it didn't find anything.

Also, I, of course, use the right password. I tried using a false one and it does show a message that a wrong password has been used. When I use the correct one, it tries to log in, but it instead reloads the login screen.

Maybe I should also refer this thread, it started with this anyway: D: Drive Suddenly Disappeared

I hope you can help me, so I don't have to format. I'm close to an exam period, so it's really hard having to format right now... I should also note that I have a backup of my files, so I don't worry if I lose something. It's just that formatting takes a lot of time, so I leave it as the last option. I should also mention that I probably don't have a recovery image, so that's a problem too since I can't just recover and be done with it

    Thanks in advance!

PS: My Windows 10 version is 1909 (64 bit).

I don't have any problems with my account. I mean, I can sign in from different devices, no problems there. It's not locked or unavailable.

As for my password, I don't get an error message or anything, I do use the right password. It's like the login screen bugged and it just reloads and asks again for the password. I also tried logging in to my Windows with different methods, but still the same problem.

The problem was solved by using a restore point.

Glad to read that it's sorted.

Often restore points don't work or are unavailable.

    Consider making free backup images:

(Acronis, Aoemi, EaseUS, Macrium, Paragon, etc.)

Macrium is widely used in Ten Forums:

Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect

Thanks! I thought that I didn't have any restore points available, but Windows created some automatically. So everything went well in the end!
