MS account lockout. Unable to reset.

I am locked out of my MS account. All directions point to conventional reset help / support page requiring text verification code to reset. Problem is, I am in a rural locale (no cell service .. no texting) so unable to use that method. No other reset method appears to be available.

It is impossible to get help from MS so am VERY grateful to have found this support forum. Hope someone can help. (In any case) thanks (in advance) for suggestions.

Do you have the option of using Wi-fi calling on your phone? (Using Wi-fi not a mobile signal).

Some phones and some operators support this.

Canada's MS regional activation number (toll free) is
    (888) 352 7140 - no idea if they can help with this.

    - lots of suggestions - hope something's relevant.

    However this could be tricky:

    Acct reset

I wasn't able to use WiFi calling (carrier wanted to charge double current plan rate ;-(
However, I did get thru on the MS regional activation number you provided (I had been unsuccesfully try their general support / help line) and they suggested having a friend or family receive the reset text code and pass it along. It worked!
Now I just have to figure out where the OneDrive icon (with access to settings) disappeared to. Should I post to the General Support forum for that?

-yes best post an appropriately titled new thread, and state whether you're using the exe-based Onedrive or that from Store (UWP app).
