If you set up Bitlocker for yourself you are forced to record your BitLocker key in your MSAccount but I have no idea what happens for company accounts. Ask a colleague who has recently had a new computer if they can remember about that.

It takes me to the recovery screen and the only 2 options are Please Enter to Try Again or Press F8 for Startup Setting. When are say Try Again, it loads the computer logon screen and when I press F8, it asks for Bitlocker key
You don't get what is shown in Option 6 of the tutorial?

    The username problem -
1 Phone up your IT dept / whoever dreamed up that username and ask them what the username is.
2 If you know the username is CompanyNameXXX, why did you try Admin or Administrator?

Bitlocker - That stops all workarounds to the username problem.

    ^^^ This.

@Jacee; how is the user to get the C:\users folder if they can't log in?

BTW (from personal "testing" experience) If the machine is BitLocker, the first time you go into safe mode, you will be asked for your BitLocker password. It's what I use to test if my BitLocker key is working. After the initial boot into safe mode you won't (shouldn't be asked for the key again - maybe). Been there done that

So it seems all you are left with is
    - Phone up the boss to ask what the username is / where the username records are stored / how to retrieve your username from the server.
    - If you set up Bitlocker for yourself you are forced to record your BitLocker key in your MSAccount but I have no idea what happens for company accounts. Ask a colleague who has recently had a new computer if they can remember about that.

FYI, if the user setup BitLocker and they use a Microsoft account then yes, it will be listed in the account (provided they told the setup to place a copy there). It can also be copied to a USB drive, a text file, or printed out...

@cakeMake, you'll need to contact your company's IT department as circumventing their security features (which you are by asking us to help bypass the login credentials) is a breech of terms of use of company property.

    Sorry.

    Understood
    - it's getting shipped back to somebody who knows the Bitlocker security key so they can reset & re-use the computer?
    - the replacement computer is being set up by somebody who knows what username to put on it?
