    Hello,

    here is the different troubleshooting that i have tried:

    Did If you can't remember your password or it's not working, The password was changed but cannot login in the Aesus laptop

    Tried I used a PIN instead of a password to sign in to my PC with no success as i only see my email there (grayed out) and nothing else

    Cannot do I don't want to use my Microsoft account; I want to sign in to my PC with a local account as i cant access Reset this PC without entering a password before.

    Still not sure what to do.

    --- I believe you had changed the password on your work laptop but you have to let us know which laptop you are using on anything you are doing.
    --- There’s more to be said about that but I’ve got to review some previous posts.
    --- You mention “Aesus laptop”. I’m not aware of an Aesus laptop. It should be ASUS laptop.

    Post #10 mentions “Don't attempt anything about using a PIN yet.”

    --- Naturally, that is the case.

    Hello,

    Sorry for the spelling, it is an ASUS laptop.

    Yes the change of password was done on the laptop work.

    When you changed the password on your work laptop, did you use this?
    Getting error message: The password is incorrect, Try again-recover-your-account.png

    Note it mentions both reset your password and security info.
    --- Did you do both of them?
    --- If I remember correctly, security info involves more than one question.
    --- If that was completed properly, you might have to follow up to verify your account.
    --- Do you have an alternate email account to work that through and/or a cell phone?
    --- NOTE: If there are still problems and you get some messages in between let us know what they are word-for-word.

    Hang in there and follow what needs to be entered, verified etc.

    When you first activated your Windows computer, you had to set up an MS security account pass word, they gave you one... and then you entered the pass word you wanted for that computer. Did you write any of the information down?

    Note it mentions both reset your password and security info.
    1) Yes i did use the steps shown on the picture you've uploaded.
    2) I have entered my email, then click on next
    3) i have selected call my phone to verify my identity
    4) i enter the last 4 digit of my phone and click next
    5) they call, right down the code
    6) enter the code and click next
    7) i enter the new password
    8) Then it bring me to my Microsoft account

    For verification, was ALL of that done on your work laptop including "Then it bring me to my Microsoft account"
    Can you access your Microsoft account on your cell phone?
    Have you gone onto your Asus laptop and it still doesn't accept the new password & it wants you to go through http://account.live.com again?

    How about your security settings: where you asked to verify or change any of them?

    Do you have data & applications to save?
    If what you are doing doesn't come together you might have to consider a clean install.

    Yes it was done on the work laptop

    Have you gone onto your Asus laptop and it still doesn't accept the new password & it wants you to go through http://account.live.com again?
    I have gone into the Asus Laptop, entered the new password and get the message The password is incorrect, Try again. Nothing else happen, just that login page asking for password and when i get the error message, i only have the option to try again the password

    How about your security settings: where you asked to verify or change any of them?
    I was not asked to verify or change any of them

    Do you have data & applications to save?
    i will be ok with a clean install

    Can you access your Microsoft account on your cell phone?
    Not sure how to access Microsoft account on my cell phone, is it through an application?
