    Cannot login Windows 10

Computer : Acer Aspire T3*715 desktop
    System : Windows on Home 64b. 1909(2)
    Problem :
    1. I change login password every month.
    2. The last time I changed the password, restarted & logged in & used the PC for hours.
    3. Started the PC again 3 hours later, but could not login, saying : Incorrect password.
Note : There very important files in C drive and I must keep them.
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Diano

Use option 5 to enable the built-in Administrator account:
Enable or Disable Elevated Administrator account in Windows 10

Once you log in to the built-in Administrator account, you can reset the password of your normal user account you log in with.

I hope you are backing up appropriately- if you have appropriate backups, this will not be a concern.

Disk imaging is one fundamental means so often recommended here.

    THANK YOU!

Unfortunately, no back-up's been made. I have other computers to use, XP, Win 7, Win 10. But like the challenge.

    Thank you.

    • Boot your computer with Hiren’s BootCD PE.
    • Goto Start Menu -> Securiy -> Passwords -> NT Password Edit
    • Open your SAM file (It is usually located in C:\Windows\System32\config\SAM).
    • Click your username and the click ‘Change password’. To set a password, type your password both ‘New password’ and ‘Verify’ fields and then click to ‘OK’. To remove the password, leave both ‘New password’ and ‘Verify’ fields blank and then click to ‘OK’.

    Diano,

Are you talking about a local user account or an MSAccount-linked user account?

Do you have any other user accounts on the computer? Are any of them admin acconts?

    Diano,

    {copied from Why Windows 10 Home in my computer is different from others?}

On 6th March, the other poster thought you were saying thank you - not reporting a problem in using Hiren's boot CD.

Freebooter had suggested a command that is available when booting from that CD [not a Windows command] and the fact that you have Home is not relevant.

    Mr.FreeBooter.

Thank you very much for trying to help me.

On 04 Mar 2020, you suggested,"Boot your computer with Hiren's BootCD PE."
On 06 Mar 2020, I thanked you and did not say much.
Actually, I did not get a chance to try it.
I could not download Hiren's BootCD PE.
I have tried many time in the past few weeks to download it.
    All failed.
Nothing happens after clicking on the download.

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Thank you again!
