    Deleted user folder being recreated.

    Hi All

    I deleted one of my users. However old folder is being recreated every time Windows Search service is restarted. File which is causing that is:

    "C:\Users\DELETED_USER\AppData\Local\Microsoft\InputPersonalization\TextHarvester\TextHarvester. dat"

    Anyone know how to stop this?

    I am using latest Windows 10 with all the updates.

    Thank you.

    This was the subject of user folder keeps getting created every restart - TenForums and a solution was proposed.

    @klepp0906
    Perhaps you have some additional guidance?

    Unfortunately stopping and disabling the service, deleting the folder, restarting PC, enabling and starting the service does not help. After another reboot folder reappears again...

    No service changes are involved.

    That article is outdated in its reference to where things are in Settings but the TenForumsTutorial is up to date. To turn off the handwriting recognition improvement features -

    Figured out.

    Code:
    C:\Users\PROFILE\AppData\Local\Microsoft\InputPersonalization
    has to be deleted in safe mode.

    For the benefit of others landing on this thread in the future, how did you arrive at that solution & what else did it entail?
