    Log-in Settings

    Hi,
When I turn on my PC, I get the Ocean wallpaper and it asks me to "log-in". After each log in I go to the "settings" and set the Require Sign-in Option to "never". But, every time I restart the PC I keep having to log in again?
Is there a double secret option that I need to tick off so it stops this security process, and logs in automatically as I would like?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello WestCoast,

That setting is only for at wake up from sleep or hibernate.

You would want to use netplwiz in the tutorial below to have Windows automatically sign in to your account at startup.

This morning I needed to sign in again. Not sure what happened as my netplwiz is done correctly, I assume. Could it be that a MS security download has over ridden my administrator setting? Or is McAfee responsible?

Netplwiz would only affect sign-in at startup. If you changed your password, you would have to set up netplwiz again to update the password netplwiz uses.

If this was at wakeup from say sleep or hibernate instead, then double check to make sure you have turned off require sign-in on wakeup below.

The password remains the same, so that's not it.
I re-booted and this time it did not require sign in. Very strange, I will sacrifice a chicken, hope for the best, and monitor the situation.

If you haven't already, check to make sure you have turned off require sign-in on wakeup below.

It'll be interesting if you have to sign in again.
