    I'm Baffled

    I have a problem !

I am the only user on my pc and use a local admiistrator account so i do not have to sign in everytime.

Today i tried to create a task in scheduler,i went through all the usual stuff has i have done in the past but cannot create it as it keeps showing a pop up with my name and asking for a password,(which i have never had or set).Has something changed ? if so what! and what is the solution ?

    Win10 home version 1809

As its a security risk having no password windows doesnt like it you could setup a password and stil login automatically

You might try changing to 'Run only when user is logged on' under task properties. I don't get prompted when I select this option but do when I select 'Run whether user is logged on or not'.

Not sure as to what you mean by a Local Administrator

Obviously, if you are using the Hidden administrator rather than a tokenised Admin ( the default type of Windows admin), then you run a risk if some form of malware should attack you successfully.

As the malware takes on the rights of the current user when it takes over a system you are better off running with a standard user, or for practical reasons a standard admin.

This is a recommendation but it is of course your choice
