    Sign-in Questions

I have new Win 10, v1909, desktop (Dell). I already had Dell laptop with Win 7 that I converted to Win 10 when that option was provided. That version is 1809. The laptop version did not require a pin or password. All I do is click sign-in. However, the new desktop requires a pin (or password) to sign in. I contacted Dell Support when I began setting up the desktop and was told I had to use one or the other. Now I wonder if that is an absolute or if I misunderstood the "if" of that requirement?

Win10 Microsoft Account requires a password be set first then a PIN can be assigned. The PIN associates with the account and password.

Or a Local Account can be established without a password.

I have a few rehabbed Notebooks available for sale or permanent loan that I set to use only the Local Account on as I don't know what will happen to them when no longer in my possession.
