    Sync My Settings Not Syncing

I had a problem previously related to my sync setting being greyed out. Now i have my 2 pcs logged in with a online Microsoft account, all the sync settings are turned on with both pc's. Still it does not seem to be syncing. Any suggestions guys?

Your personal settings saved in the cloud may have got corrupted. You could try clicking on Remove for all your devices in your Microsoft Account and then turn off syncing on all of your devices and remove all your personal synced settings in the cloud. As soon as you sign into your Microsoft account again with each of your devices they will be reset and put back in your MS account. You can then turn syncing back on on all your devices. This may sort out your issue

Thanks for your reply. I deleted my cloud settings. Turned off the syncing on each pc. I deleted each device on my microsoft account too.

Do you know where i can view the actual settings backup as i have searched a lot but not found out where exactly it is stored. Then i can switch on syncing and see if an whan it has stored my setting from my laptop first.

Did you ensure that you turned off syncing on all your devices before removing all your synced settings from the cloud..that is important? Theres no way of viewing your backed up settings. Try switching on syncing for your laptop and leave it for a day or so if you want to give it a bit of time. Then turn syncing back on for each of your other devices.

I seem to be having the same issue.

Got a new laptop, signed in and my theme and settings are not synching, has anything worked for you. In the past as soon as I signed in with my ms account everything would sync, theme settings ....

I switched the sync setting on my second pc yesterday and 24 hours later it has not synced anything. Edge browser is not syncing bookmarks either. Sync is turned on for both browsers. Oh dear.

Sorry to hear that mate. In the past that has always worked for me. Theres one more thing you could try- switch to a local account on all your devices and then switch them back again to your usual Microsoft Account sign in method for all devices. This sometimes forces the full recognition of your devices again in the cloud.
Ive read on Tenforums before about users having issues with syncing causing them problems.
Personally, I've had syncing turned off for about a year now as I only have a desktop PC now and I keep my Android phone totally separate. I keep my Edge favourites backed up on a USB flash drive. If I do a clean installation its really easy to just import them back across to Edge afterwards. At least that way I don't have to rely on the cloud syncing everything correctly upon reinstallation. Changing theme and a few settings doesn't take too long. It might be something for you to consider?

I’m getting discouraged lol. I’ve tried everything and I’m starting to believe maybe it’s the ms sync servers that are just either slow or down, cause for me up until 4 days ago had no issues syncing ! Now it’s a hasarde just to sync my thème de to my new device. I’m trying another thing. Clean installing but I know that won’t change anything but got nothing to lose!
