I cannot find my admin account and only have a user account

Help!!! I cannot download or uninstall items due to admin account restrictions. I cannot find my admin account, how do I make my current user account into an admin account with an original admin account? Is there any way I can bypass this admin account thing?I cannot find my admin account and only have a user account-screenshot-2019-12-19-09.13.23_li.jpg

Assuming your are the owner and administrator of said PC, go to Control Panel, User Accounts, click Change account type, and click Administrator.

You might find the tutorial more helpful (and clearer) - How to Change Account Type of Users in Windows 10

If you are not the owner or administrator you'll have to contact the actual administrator for those permissions.

shouldn't the first account I log in into the laptop is the administrator but I cannot see the word administrator and tried a couple of accounts already. I really do not know the administrator of my laptop. This is weird because this is my new laptop.

The very first account that is created is automatically a member of the 'Administrators' group, i.e. not THE Administrator (which is disabled by default) but pretty close.

Not clear on what you mean, but if you logged into the account as an administrator, you should have admin rights. It's also why I questioned ownership.

And yes, when you click Settings, Accounts, if you are an administrator, it would show under your name.
