Windows 10 not allowing save to certain folders in admin account
Hi! I'm not sure if others have posted about this issue before so sorry if this is repetitive. :-/
I have recently upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and have been running into an issue regarding permissions when I save files. Although my account is an admin, when I try to save files from Chrome or any microsoft office 2013 application, it forces me to try to save to the User folder and won't let me access the "My Documents" or "My Pictures folder. It pops up with a message saying that I need permission from an admin. Which... my account certainly is...
So I originally had a Microsoft ID account but I have switched it to a local account hoping that that would solve the issue. Well. It didnt. I have also painstakingly added my account to the permissions on each of my folders (even though i should have access under the Administrator local group, right?) and set that to full control which has solved the issue for a tiny bit. But now it is back and i cannot save into certain folders but permissions says that my account still has full control. I can save into a different location and drag and drop but that is quite annoying...
Another issue (though probably less important) I ran into is that when the games I play have a save file that needs to be added or something... well it just doesnt save
Anyone else have this issue? or does anyone know how to fix it?
Thanks! and any help would be appreciated!
