    Disable Wake screen & Sign In


    Hello,
    Happy Thanksgiving!
    Win10 Home x64 1903 all updates!
    Haven't had any success in disabling the ad screen and sign-in after wake. Tried TenForums tools, tried disable password on wake, tried chaning a few more things, tried Googling, tried reg scripts, got locked out of apps.
    Reimaged drive, when through this again, again.
    Reimaged drive, stuck here.
    What is the trick please?
    I know there is one! I have a plethora of fixes for Win7 on SevenForums

    After googling and reading and trying for a while it get old real fast.
    Yes, I've tried several different choices, nothing seems to work. Been helping on SevenForums mostly with Win Updates. 2000 posts.
    Win10 quirks are still freshly irritating.

    Still having sign-in screen after wake from sleep.

    &
    Press Windows key + R
    control userpasswords2
    Hit Enter.
    Uncheck Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer. Click Apply then OK to confirm changes.
    Password for user to prevent sign-in screen. YES
    Still wake sign-in screen.
    Nope don't like Microsoft for BS like this!

    Just so you know- 'we' are not Microsoft- just users, sometimes with our own problems just like you.

    I migrated from W7 to W10 in 2015, so I've grown acustomed to them....

    Sleep, then wake, sign-in screen!
    All my machines bar one go straight to the desktop on wake up. The one that doesn't is my 'travelling' laptop, so I want that one to be well protected.

    The option in Settings to turn off a required sign in after waking from sleep is only available when the account has a password. If yours doesn't, then set one, turn the option off then reset the password to a blank one.

    This option will only be available if the account has a password..
