Windows 10 Professional (x64) Build 18362.476 (1903/May 2019 Update)

I'm trying to change my Microsoft account settings because after I log off off windows, it's asking me for a password to get back in, even tho I have disabled the password prompt, and I am the only user.

When I got to "Change Account Setting", it says I need to verify my identity., even tho it shows I am already logged in with that email address. I opt to use my Microsoft Authenticator app instead of password, but when I try to confirm the message I get in the app, I get an error message saying "error communicating with the server. error code: unknown.

I called my service provider tech support, and we ultimately it was decided to uninstall and reinstall the Microsoft Authenticator app. So now I'm trying to log back in to the app ("sign in to your recovery account"), and it says "Your backup is not stored with **** Try signing into another personal Microsoft account"

Recovery account? Backup? I don't get it.

I just used that same account to sign in to the "Microsoft account app". I tried another account, the only other one I have, but the same thing happened.
