I have had a problem with losing permission of my TEMP directory. I used to use the cacls utility but that stopped working and found that icacls was the replacement just recently but I am having a problem with the parameters.
I was using cacls J:temp /t /e /g Everyone:f and it worked fine but tried to us it this way and keep getting errors, I'm sure someone here know this utility icacls J:temp /t /e /g Everyone:f

Execute icacls J:\temp /grant Everyone:f /t
Often av can change the temp folder as lots of virus run from that folder
I'm not sure it worked, the everyone user had no permission
