User Accounts - double entry

One would be a Local or Microsoft.com aka non-domain connected user. You can setup Windows 10 Pro/Education/Workstations/Enterprise to show a Local/Live user and Roaming Domain user. The Roaming user would have a User Directory, but is managed by the Domain Controller that is WDAGUtilityAccount.

If you delete John aka CarrotMusuem, you lose Local Non-Domain access of that Workstation.

Absolutely correct; however, there is a work-around... One can set up a common data folder or set of folders within the data partition if such partition exists, or, on any partition that contains data. Then copy the data from the users My Documents or whatever directories are available into the commons pot. After confirming all the data successfully exists in the commons, then one can delete a un-needed user account.

Hi John, I believe what people are saying is that you can delete any user, however; you will lose all the files/pics/docs etc saved to that particular user's folders.

If you would like to clean up the users on your PC by deleting specific profiles you may want to copy the info saved within those profiles first as this will not be possible after deletion of the profile.

1) Logon as an Administrator.

2) Press Windows key + E to launch windows explorer.

3) Navigate to C:Windows\Users\username. Username that you want to delete such as Carrot Museum.

4) Navigate to C:Windows\Users\Carrot Museum and look for content you want to keep within C:Windows\Users\Carrot Museum\Desktop or \Downloads folders etc. You must copy anything you want to keep to another location such as your new profile users folders. C:Windows\Users\John\Downloads etc. If you have shortcuts on the desktop, you will require to redirect them to the new folder C:Windows\Users\John\Desktop.

5) After copying all the data you want to keep, switch users to John and verify that your data move was successful and is now visible using the John profile.

6) After confirming your files are visible while signed in as John, you are now safe to delete the Carrot Museum profile.

You would create a new user profile on that workstation and would start over fresh with zero in the user directory folders. This is not rocket science for what you are asking or seeing.
