A PIN requires a password, you cannot set a login PIN on an account without password. See this tutorial for setting up a PIN: Add PIN to your Account in Windows 10

    Hello Walter,

You could add a PIN to your account if you haven't already, then select to sign in with the PIN in "Sign-in options" on the Sign-in page. A password is required for a PIN, so you wouldn't be able to remove the password if a PIN is wanted.

Add PIN to your Account in Windows 10

    Sign in to Windows 10

If you have a Microsoft account and running build 18995 or higher, you can enable passwordless sign-in to only allow using Windows Hello Face, Fingerprint, or PIN.

It hasn't. That's not possible. You may only use the PIN, but you had to have a password first.

Agreed, password first then PIN later if desired. Some sites or programs will not recognize the PIN, maybe even some parts of Microsoft. There is some talk about going to no passwords or PIN only but it is not finished yet.

And, when you have set up logins using a PIN, remember to keep a secure written note of your password because Windows might start demanding it again after any problems in the future.

Perhaps I did not phrase correctly.

I have Win 10 64 bit Pro which has a password set up to log in to Win 10, I want to change the login to a PIN, it is easier for me to remember a PIN than a password.

At post #4 you said you wanted to add a PIN to Win 10 Home, and that your Win 10 Pro was already using a PIN.

Did you try using the first link in post #3?
