can't get rid of login screen on 18362

    Hello,

I am trying to get rid of the sign in screen after sleep. But it seems something has changed. I am using build 18362 but i can't get rid of it.
I have: empty password, used gpedit to disable the lock screen, and used netplwiz to disable login pass, still i get the damned screen where i have to click the sign in button.
Lots of beers for the one who can help me get rid of it! :)
But serious, something must have changed because i see all kinds of pics from the login settings screen but mine is quite different, containing options for pin, hello etc.

    Thanks.

Did you try downloading the Reg file in Option 5 step 4?

I was hoping i would owe you a beer but it's not our lucky day.
Can you confirm that your sign in options look differrent?

    No I can't. I don't use a password or sleep, so I don't have your issue.

I don't care for a password either! It's empty. Tried using one to see if it would help but no.

Hmmm, none of my 18362 machines (Home or Pro) show a sign in screen on resuming from sleep. All have local accounts with no password. I did nothing special to set them up like this, the Home machine was upgrade from W7 through all versions of W10, now on 1903. The Pro machines were clean installs of 1809, since updated to 1903.

Your 'Sign-in options' page in Settings is normal, that's what mine looks like too. None of those options are set, so none should appear on the actual sign-in screen.

I suggest you open gpedit again. Select Administrative Templates then from the Action menu select 'Filter options...' and set Configured: to 'Yes'. See if any other configured/disabled policies may the cause. As a last resort, try setting all configured policies to 'Not configured'. If that fixes it, configure them again, one at a time, untill you find which one was the culprit.

    Thanks for your help.
Well there's only Do not display the lock screen and disable hotkeys set.
But maybe there's a misunderstanding here, i just tried waking my laptop form sleep and while i have the lock screen policy enabled there, it too shows a screen where i have to click on the Sign in button.
Now my question is, are we talking about the same 'lock screen'?
I do hope to get rid of the extra click on that button every morning on waking up.
