    Microsoft Account Recovery


    It seems every time I have to go some place requiring my Microsoft Account, I have to verify and then wait for what seems like forever. Here are the steps I use to recover my account and the issues I am having problems with:

    After entering my user name and password, I get a window for Verifying:

    Here I click on "Verify" and get a new window.

    I selected "I don't have these any more" and get the next page.

    The top email was correct so I entered a contact email and the next step is where I get stuck.
    I would have entered "RVkWp SKY3S" Note the caps and small letters.
    After clicking next I get a red note saying it was not entered correctly. I must have tried this 20 times and it always indicates it was entered incorrectly.

    I sure could use some advice.

    try using a different browser. also try clicking new to change the recaptcha picture

    If you entered it as you typed it above, then it was entered incorrectly. Try it without the space in the middle.

    Using a different browser did NOT seem to matter. I was using Edge at any rate which is where I needed the help.

    Thanks Bree that worked (no space). Now I guess it is wait and see if they get back to me anytime soon.
    I still do NOT understand why I have to go thru this every time.

    Pardon my French but this is such Bull S**t. Here is what I got from them:

    We recently received a request to recover your Microsoft account hu*****@gmail.com. Unfortunately, our automated system has determined that the information you provided was not sufficient for us to validate your account ownership. Microsoft takes the security and privacy of our customers very seriously, and our commitment to protecting your personal information requires that we take the utmost care in ensuring that you are the account owner.

    I gave them all the info I had as best I could.

    I have resubmitted as they requested, but I have little hope of this ever being resolved.
