Hi, Don't know if I should start a new thread. I want to see if this is going to louse things up. One laptop has a fingerprint reader that is used for Microsoft purchases. The other laptop does not have a fingerprint reader. Do you think if I make a purchase on the other laptop it will ask for my fingerprint or will the difference in the two laptops be known? Just trying to have all my eggs in one basket here. Hope someone can help with this.

That is a hardware feature specific to that model and does not affect other devices.

Hi, One more question. I am thinking of setting the second laptop up with a local account first. So if I set up a local account first on it, it can have any username and password different from the Live account on the second laptop then later set up the Microsoft account? This will be specific to just a machine login? Thanks for any help and your patience with me.

EDIT. Uh duh. I forgot about the windows 10s that I will want to switch out of. I need a microsoft account for that. So this last question is nonsense.
