    Remove Win account from PC

Guess I should have posted this in the user accounts subforum

    I have a work PC with a non-ms login.
SOMEHOW I have a personal MS (outlook.com) account on here and I cannot figure out how to get rid of it.
Just now I opened outlook.com on Edge and it automatically logged me in. I guess I forgot to log out...my fault of course.
How do I wipe that account from this PC? I do not want it associated with this PC at all.
    Thanks!

See Switch to a Local Account from a Microsoft Account - TenForumsTutorials

Make sure you already have an additional local Admin user account before switching just in case something goes wrong - recovering from having no functioning Admin account is possible but is awkward.

AFAIK I am using the account I want to use. I don't really ever see any indicators of the 2nd account unless I do something like what happened this a.m. with Edge or if I go to settings / user accounts ( I think that's where it shows up)
I do not even see it as an option when I log in to the PC. There is no option to switch users.
I must have somehow used it to d/l something from the MS store, which is weird because I have other accounts I normally use.

I suggested taking that precaution before switching but it is not essential.

Switching [see Switch to a Local Account from a Microsoft Account - TenForumsTutorials] will keep you in the same account but it will become a local account instead of an MSAccount. All your current settings, apps, access permissions should remain as they are.

User accounts of all kinds can get corrupted and that's when you need to have a spare password-protected local Admin user account ready for use. If you don't want to then fine but it'll take a lot more work to sort things out if your only current Admin account gets corrupted.

"I must have somehow used it to d/l something from the MS store" - I can remember others reporting this so you are probably right. Whilst I have not particularly followed this subject, I thought that this was the solution How to Sign in to Store with Different Microsoft Account in Windows 10 - TenForumsTutorials

    Hi,
Using a ms account I don't believe you need to login to outlook.com or hotmail.com
You already are logged in using the ms account

Just manage accounts and you should see remove on the ms account listing
Believe you might need to switch to local before though which there will be a link for that too.
