Did you try copying off the user folder from your MR image to a regular disk?

Not yet, Ken. I am slightly overwhelmed, as my printer now prints every second page up-side-down when I print on both sides of papers, and taskbar stuff that should be (and was) shown on the primary monitor now shows up on another monitor. I think MS has lost control.

I will read your message again and try later today. Thanks!

For printing funny check the "The flip on ..... " setting. Sometimes hidden. Flip on long edge or short can make things a mess.

I am going back to v 1809. However, I can not find an ISO file for that version. Does anyone have one or know a URL that actually have old ISOs? Thank you!

If you upgraded within the last 10 days you can 'Go back to previous' build - it's a built-in option that uses Windows.old.
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/...covery-options

Otherwise you can restore the disk image you hopefully created or updated before upgrading (e.g. Macrium Reflect - free) - so often recommended here.

Using an 1809 iso would not help you, unless you created a bootable medium, which you can also do still with MS's media creation tool. (Just search for it if you need it)

In that event you would then be doing a clean install.

Dalchina, I finally found an ISO file for 1809. Hope it is clean :-( I have just finished creating a bootable DVD from the ISO file.)

I need to do a clean install, because my previous 1809 was corrupt (a few files; could never find out which ones). However, I will never update to 1903 again; will read reviews carefully of future versions. What a nightmare these last few days have been.

Thanks for all your kind help (and thanks to others as well, Ken among them). Should you know an URL with a guaranteed clean downloadable 1809 ISO, kindly let me know (most web pages 'advertising' one are now actually 1903 ISO).

    Download Windows 10 ISO File

If you use this you can choose 1809 - Option 3.
See step 6 for the choice of build.

    OR
