Windows has locked me out of my computer

It seems like windows has decided to add a password to my user account for some reason, without notifying me first. I tried to sign in after starting my computer, but it's not letting me do it, since i don't have the password.

Solved by downloading this program to reset the password.

Did this happen after you deleted those unwanted partitions?

We have a tutorial to enable the System Administrator which also allows you gain access.

I also recommend that when using local accounts that you install two administrator to act as second set of keys.

Would be interested if this happened after partition changes.

It didn't happen after i have deleted the duplicate partitions that windows had made, since i deleted them yesterday and my computer was working fine all day.

Hear you but MS doesn't do this. They really don't care if your device is secured and I can't imagine how they would only hit one device.

Yes your device worked yesterday, Did you shutdown / restart after deleting partitions?

You could use the tutorial to remove the prompt.

I'd just like to clarify and say that yes, windows does change your password, without notifying you first. See this thread. It seems to happen if you are using windows own administrator account. I found a solution to the problem though.

Everyone in that thread apparently enabled the built in Administrator then deleted all their other accounts (beats me why anyone would want to do that). Then they were surprised to be asked to type a password for Administrator. Apparently it didn't occur to them to try the very last suggestion in that thread....

Have any of you, in the slightest, just tried pressing Enter on your keyboard? It could be that, if you never set an account password, that it's only showing that because it's supposed to.
