    User already added to this pc.

    I want to add another user with a microsoft account for someone else to my pc. They have had an account before but I removed it for a short while. I now want to add their user back to the pc, but everytime I try i get the message '(email address) has already been added to this pc.' and I cannot add them back. However there are no traces of this user in the C:/Users folder. How can I add them back?

    Check for the account in Settings, Accounts, Family & other users [and check Access work or school].

    The C:\Users subfolder is only created when a user logs in not when the account is created.

    You can get lists of users in the command prompt with either of these commands
    Code:
    net user
    Code:
    WMIC.exe useraccount list full
    - Its username might not be the expected one if you created the account as a local account and then converted it to be an MSAccount later on
    - If you created it as an MSAccount from the start then its recorded username will normally be the first 5 characters of the email address {so the username of FredBloggs@Outlook.Com will be FredB}
    - And you can use
    Code:
    net user UserName
    {to get further details of users found using the net user command}

    Perhaps one of the methods in the tutorial will clear out whatever remnants are getting in your way
