External Hard Drive Administrative Rights
Oh goodness. I know. Here it goes again. Trust me, my situation is different. I have two external drives of which I am having trouble accessing/copying or moving folders to another drive. The error is 'You don't currently have permission to access this folder.'
And now here is where my situation is different (names changed for security)
Drives started off on Computer Name: Adam login name: abbheart@hotmail.com
Computer login changed to goo@gmail.com
Computer rebuilt and Computer Name: Sprocket login name: goo@gmail.com <------ it was here where I started to have errors of same as above.
That computer wound up having to have some parts to be replaced.
Moved two drives to another computer with yet another name of Harkness login name: doctor who
And now I cant even come closer to accessing above folders, even when making changes in the security tab to Sprocket/goo@gmail.com or abbheart@hotmail.com.
Is there a way to just reset all permissions to zero, sign in as admin some how and reassign all affected folders and hierarchies to the current name and login?
