I already had a Microsoft account which I've had for donkey's years, it wasn't just created yesterday. I did have to input it at some point I think when reinstalling.
I have no idea what the difference is between administrator accounts, microsoft accounts, or local accounts.

How do I get back into my main administrator account?
I can log in when i enter my pin, but i had it disabled and would like it disabled again.
Your PC is using your MS Account to Login... If you can not get PC to Login Automatically without requiring a password or pin.I did have to input it at some point I think when reinstalling.
Then switch to using a Local Account...
I've just been communicating with a Microsoft guy. He was baffled. I reluctantly decided to let him have remote control of my PC. It seems as if he's actually managed to fix it . . :-O I can now boot up straight to desktop. But that "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer box" is *checked*. So that seems puzzling?

Netplwiz would only affect at startup.
For wakeup, you would have needed to turn off require sign-in on wakeup if that was the cause.

Well, there's the issue of it not connecting to the net on the mornings. But I sorted that out before so should be able to figure it out.
I'm having the same problem since this morning.
Autologin was setup since I installed windows 10 a few months ago.
Suddenly I get a windows login screen, need to left-click the mouse and enter my password.
I haven't installed/updated any software or added hardware since at least 5 days and used/restarted my PC every day since.
I tried:
- "netplwiz" and "control userpasswords2"
- Microsoft sysinternals autologin tool : Autologon - Windows Sysinternals | Microsoft Docs
- Manual registry edits : AutoAdminLogon, DefaultDomainName, DefaultUserName, DefaultPassword
- System restore to 5 days ago
- Virus scan with bitdefender: system clean
- Group policy: nothing has ever been changed (checked all manually)
- No windows updates since more than five days.
I'm at a total loss, the only thing I can think of I another legendary level Microsoft under the belt update that wouldn't show up in the update history.
Addition:
1) When I type my password I have to activate Caps Lock to type lower case letters.
Windows also warns me that I'm typing capitals while actually I'm not, basically it's inverted.
After logging in this behaviour is reversed back to normal.
In short the caps lock is only inverted during login.
2) Nobody has physical access to this computer, USB key jokes are not possible

Ok, that's superweird, this morning I started up my computer and everything's back to normal.
Didn't do anything else than watching some vids on youtube.
