Yes, it allows the Load Hive, and a Load Hive prompt appears on the screen. It seems to want a file name!

If you go back to the CMD prompt, it does not go to D:\Windows\System32\config or C:\Windows\System32\config

At step 5, you'll need to navigate to the "config" folder from This PC in that "Load Hive" dialog window.

You would look for whatever driver letter is for your Windows 10 drive.

Got into a Windows screen that allows me to select the Administrator Account, and I am in it t!!

There is another account choice, but the password does not work for it. No password was needed for the Administrator.

Any tutorial for what to do next??

Great news that you are now able to sign in to the built-in Administrator account.

From here, you can determine if the owner's account is a local account or Microsoft account.

Is there a way to have the laptop just show the person's account, and not the Administrator Account used to get in the computer?

At the login screen it shows the 2 accounts on the lower left.

You can, but you'll have to sign in to the built-in Administrator account first.

The goal is to use this Administrator account to determine if the person's account is a local account or Microsoft account.

If local account, then you could just reset or change the persons password directly from this Administrator account.

If Microsoft account, then you will need to go through the steps at Microsoft to reset its password.

Was successful in changing the password on the person's local account. But leaving the 2 accounts showing on the login screen will be very confusing for the 82 yr old person owning the laptop..

As suggested, I signed in to the built-in Administrator account, and now both accounts are local account and Administrator?? Did I do something wrong?

Is this way to stop the built-in Administrator account from showing on the login screen:

1. Hold the Windows Key while pressing “R” to bring up the Windows Run dialog box.
2. Type: net user administrator /active:no
3. Press “Enter“.

You didn't do anything wrong. You just determined that the person's account was a local account which made it easier to change/reset the password.

That is correct. While signed in to the person's account, you can disable the built-in Administrator using that method.
