All of a sudden, Windows asks for password on startup

    All of a sudden, Windows asks for password on startup


    I've been bypassing that startup page for ages, and today its started asking for the password. I have it set up on Accounts that I dont have to enter password and also on netplwiz.
    However it still asks for it.
    I've restarted the pc 3 times and it's asked every time.

    Please help if you can

    As it's a security risk it's possible windows update has reset it

    Well, my pc updated later on this morning, after I had the problem with the password.

    xTL, I will check that out now.
    Thanks to you both for the response

    Update, I sign in using my Microsoft Account and I'm the only user on this pc. If I switch to local account, will that affect my being admin?

Windows 10 asks for password when it comes out of sleep but not after it is powered on. I really need it to require password starting up. If this helps, I don't have an option to in settings: 27931 edit: realized only part of title fit in.
