Initial Password, not entered, on a Medion Win 10

    Hi All.

An elderly friend of mine, recently bought a New, Medion computer, and while filling in the initial set up, he did not bother entering a password.
Then he wanted to add his Email, an outlook .com adress.
However, now he cannot add his email, because the Medion asks for his password.

I tried to help him, but I am not a Medion or Win 10 user.

I tried to get into the SET UP menu, but that does not appear anywhere ?

All the pages I found, were to do with changing the password, Not Setting one up.

So I tried leaving the " Current Password " box; empty, then adding a new password.
However, that only brought up a box, saying " Wrong Password

    So Im Stumped.

Any help, anyone can give, in getting back to the initial" Set Password " page, will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks In Advance.

Hi WallyTheSane. Welcome to the TenForums @WallyTheSane

When it asks for password I think it is asking for his Outlook.com password.

You said he tried to add his email account. Before they let you add you have to prove you own address by entering password.

Once added watch the screens. It will try to switch him from a local account (for his computer sign in) to a Microsoft Account for sign in.

If this is not the password it is asking for try just leaving it blank and hit enter, or next or ok.

Here is a good tutorial on passwords. Think you want Option 5, point 3

    Thanks for the response.
I have bookmarked your reply, and will see if my mate is available tomorrow, to try your links.
    Thanks again.
I will get back, as and when.
