Bypass or disable lock screen after resume from sleep

I am on 1803 Pro, I don't have any password set but everytime the computer resumes from sleep I have to click on the sign in button.
I had disabled previously the lock screen but it just came back randomly. This time trying 4-5 different techniques: netplwiz, registry change, task scheduler, rename folder, etc. I can't disable this useless screen.

It seems lockscreen cannot be disabled in Pro but is there a workaround?

Strangely, after I enabled and then disabled the password, the lock screen disappeared. Thanks

Now the lock screen is back again, it seems everytime after a W update it reactivates. Is there anyway to avoid this?

I'm afraid Windows Update is notorious about randomly resetting some settings back to default.

I just updated 3 windows pro and 1 home premium to 1909. Home premium went back to the sleep lock screen but the pro machines did not

    - - - - - update

Just found out that it also changed the power button settings from shutdown to sleep. Looked at the pro desktop and it was still shutdown. Then I thought maybe it's a laptop vs desktop difference. But I checked a laptop (also pro) and it still has the power button set to shutdown .
