Hello, a quick general question: Does anyone know why under Win10 it is no longer possible to just use a junction (mklink) to reference all current and future profiles? Under Win7, in safe mode I just deleted the C:\Users folder with rmdir /S /Q and linked with mklink /J "C:\Users" "D:\Users" (where I had copied all files to before using xcopy) and everything was okay for the past 15 years of using this work station. When upgrading to Win10 the first problem was that junctions are not supported for the upgrading. So still under Win7 I just reversed above steps and upgraded successfully to Win10. But now I am stuck with having the profile folder back on the OS drive C:. Migration worked fine, even with domain accounts. I might eventually try the sysprep method, but I would really want to use a simple junction rather. In safe mode under Win10 I can no longer delete the profile folder to make room for a junction. There seem to be too many policies working against and just telling the you cant just delete the folder even as built in administrator. But maybe I am missing something and someone has a good idea on how to re-establish this user profile junction?

Yeah, I'd like to know that as well.

Maybe someone has found out in the meantime why this is not working anymore.
