Limit users to their home folder

    Hello,
I'm the administrator of a public pc running Windows 10 Pro.
I need to limit standard users to their home folder. In other words, they shouldn't be able to browse the content of C drive (even if they should be able to run applications and so on).
I checked with Group Policy Editor but I haven't found any suitable option.
There's a way to achieve this modifing the registry?

My guess would be since they need read permission for normal operation, trying to restrict that may not be possible as regards system folders.

Clearly they shouldn't be able to access folders related to any other users which may be on C: anyway.

    Welcome to the forum.

The ability to run applications (any application) implies having read access to system folders. Even the lowly guest account has that. Applications run under the users account and must have this access or they cannot run, or even start.

As you are using Win 10 Pro, you might want to consider using Windows Configuration Designer to make a Provisioning Package to configure SharedPC settings.
This can include options to restrict access to the drive, but it's not foolproof and users can get round it.

I had a go at making a video on this, although it was a few Win10 versions ago so things may have changed since.

This link may be helpful too.

I would make sure you take a backup of the PC before you start - under some settings there is no way back once you use this type of provisioning package.
