    Start up

    Hi

During a recent factory setting reset, I had to enter email / PIN number to enter at every start up.

Is there anyway I can disable this requirement, and go straight to the desktop on start up

Yes, see Sign in User Account Automatically - TenForums

I do hope you have your password & PIN written down somewhere secure yet readily available to you. A fault or an update might reset things at some time in the distant future when you had forgotten them though lack of use [this has only happened to me once but I thought I'd mention it].

    Thank you Try

I got as far as step 5, unchecked "users must enter a username or password to use this computer, entered my password, clicked OK

Rebooted, still asking form my password at startup

I have never had any problems with netplwiz so I have no insights to share.

I think you would be better off either starting a new thread [called something like netplwiz has no effect] or asking for help in that tutorial thread.
