"Internet Explorer is already installed even though it doesn't list it in your Apps. All you have to do is Type Internet Explorer in Cortana/Windows search on the Taskbar and it brings it up."

That works if you have IE11 enabled already. As I said in post 4, I disabled in the old Control Panel/'Turn Windows features on or off' when I first installed Win10 like in screen below. The new 'Manage optional features' replaced the option and if I did click to install Internet explorer 11' then, yes, I would see what you do. I can see that the Internet Explorer folders in Program Files have the install exe ready to go. For me, when I ask Cortana to 'open ie', Edge opens. Hope that clarifies.

Hi mate, Ive just had a look at my control panel-Windows features turn on/off settings and Internet Explorer 11 is checked as in your example. Thanks for the feedback. Its easy to get confused when we've got the old Control Panel still available as well as the Windows 10 Apps option under Settings

No problem. I un-checked mine years ago so any upgrade carries the setting over and I use Edge. Cheers
