Cannot enable my default administrator account

    Hi Everyone,

I'm begging for your help on this one.

Recently, I've used Hyper V to install virtual Windows Server 2016 on my computer. I accidentally joined that computer in the domain and now I already deleted that domain without knowing that my computer is still part of it.

The problem is, the system is always asking the credentials for that domain that does not exist.

Anyone has a solution for this?

    Thanks,
      My Computer

Hello Andy, and welcome to Ten Forums.

You might see if you may be able to use Option 5 in the tutorial below to enable the built-in Administrator account in a command prompt at boot.

Cannot enable my default administrator account

It also requires an admin credentials which I don't have any of it.

    Hi Brink,

Do you have any idea how can I fix this problem? My last option is to re-format the computer.

Did you boot from a Windows 10 installation USB?

Yes Spunk I have one. I did every way I found but still hopeless with this issue.

Does it requires a password when I do this .\administrator command?

    Hi Brink,

I have done the option seven but still asking for admin credentials. If I do the bootable USB option, would it be needing an admin account also?

    Thanks,

It shouldn't ask for a password when booting from the Windows 10 installation USB like you were going to install Windows, but open a command prompt (F10) instead.
