Locked out of Windows 10 and No internet access to reset password

Hi, I recently upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10. I didn't realize it was going to mess with my log in credentials just to get into my PC. Well, I'm locked out of my PC. I can't log on, it just tells me when I enter in the PIN and the Password that "Your device is offline, please enter old password." I do that and it rejects it.

I can't get internet access because I live on a college campus and the way they have it set up is you have to be logged into your computer before you can access the network.

I tried "resetting my PC" and chose the option to delete all the data but no idea if that will work yet.

I also tried reinstalling windows 7 from the CD, but I can't seem to get it to do that since I can't log in and get any kind of interface. I tried using the boot menu to boot from the CD (it's a retail version of windows 7.) but that doesn't work.

What do I do here? Is my computer bricked? This is ridiculous.

Have you got a Microsoft account? Is your Windows 10 account a local one or a Microsoft account? If it is a Microsoft account the login isn't the one from Windows 7 anymore, you have to enter the password from your Microsoft account.

I figured that much out considering it left my email that's attached to my microsoft account up there at the log in screen. But as I said, none of the passwords work.

I have the same problem. Except I have another PC with which I have been able to change my Microsoft account password (twice now), yet when I have used these new passwords, neither of them work. Last night, after I completed the upgrade I had a quick look at Windows 10 and then shut it down. Today, I used the same password as I did last night and it's blocking me out. Painful. I will be thankful for any help!

Well you could use the following method to reset the password:

    http://www.top-password.com/knowledg...x-boot-cd.html

    Or one of those: https://4sysops.com/archives/reset-a-windows-10-password/

By the way, only took me approx. 30 seconds to google the above mentioned solutions. You could easily have done it yourselves

Do you have access to another machine, if so this could be your last resort. Get yourself a copy and made CD bootable.

    This is completely crazy ...

I need to connect my laptop to the internet to finally be able to log in.

Ditto, will not accept my last password AND I and I am unable to connect to Wifi which I think may be the issue.
Wifi not working due to an issue I believe I can fix if I could get into it. Okay so go in and fix that..right? Nope, need Admin rights and I cant login because of the password issue. Okay, screw it, go back to Windows 8.1. Nope, need to login as an Admin. Way dead in the water!
