Problems signing in with my Microsoft account

Supposedly you are supposed to have one Microsoft account that allows access to everything. But I have had two different ones forever. I've got one that signs me into OneDrive, and then I've got the one for my live.com account.

The one I have always used to sign into Windows with is the live.com account, but in any event, I'm trying to set up my new computer and it will not accept the information for either account.

Is it connected to the internet? Windows will not give you the option for initial sign-in with a MS Account unless it is connected to the internet.

I'm afraid I'm not following you. Yes, I have Internet. In any event, I think I've finally got this sorted out. I'm going in so many directions on this set up that I can't remember just what the fix was, but I thank you for answering me post.
