    Logon/Login Problems

Greetings, first let me make my self clear(as I was accused on another forum) in no way do I want to hack, steal, bypass, or do anything else I've been accused of. I simply seek advice from others who may have had a similar problem.

Last week I had changed my MS password (yes I've contacted MS and they were of no help) When I went to log on all it kept saying was password incorrect try again.I have two accounts a local with a password hint and a MS account. Tried both and get the same answer incorrect password to try again.

No, I don't have a recovery disk(USB) I can't restore, reset, use cmd because they want the password the username is fine it's just the password that's giving me a problem. Right now I'm using a friends pc (Linux) if I need to download anything I don't know how on this pc. So in advance thanks for any help.

    Hello Bobby,

If you haven't already, you might see if you may be able to use Option Three in the tutorial below to reset your Microsoft account password online at Microsoft.

Thanks for replying but ,sad to say this was one of the first things MS suggested which I did and it still said password incorrect. I just don't get it, two accounts and I can't sign in to either one to fix anything I can get to safe mode but again I can't do anything because it wants the password.

Sometimes it may take up to 24 hours for the new password to sync to the PC if the PC is online when trying to sign in.

If you like, you could see if you may be able to do Option 5 in the tutorial below to enable the built-in Administrator account at boot to use for now.

It'll only work if you boot from Windows 10 installation USB in step 1.

It's still asking for password. No matter what I try it wants the password. MS says that if I have 2 accounts I should be able to log in with 1 of them. I can't even do a system restore.

OK, I have a question, would I be able to login to my pc(windows) from my friends pc (linux) this is how I've been contacting MS through my MS account that doesn't seem to be working on windows? In other words, can I login from another pc?

Hmm, Windows shouldn't be asking for a password to do what's in the tutorial if you booted from a Windows 10 installation or recovery USB.

You wouldn't be able to remotely log in from another PC unless you have the password and previously allowed remote access.

Is there any way I can access windows from linux to at lease get to the files where the passwords are stored? I'm assuming it would be sys 32 or something. Thanx
