Windows 10 sign in options missing

    Hello everyone.

Today I have an issue that I have never seen before. I have started the HP model 17 Y001AX. When I get to the login screen there is nothing in terms of sign in options. The sign in wallpaper is there but the profile and sign-in options are gone.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I have that also, but I use a fingerprint scanner to access my Windows. Have you tried clicking the screen or pressing a key on the keyboard to make the information appear?

I have attempted pressing every key and mouse button, alas no progress unfortunately. I am in the process of removing the HDD to health test, will report back when I test.

On that screen, do you see 3 icons at bottom right of your screen ?
The 3 icons are..... Internet, Ease of Access and Power.
Do you get those 3 ?
If yes, a left click at Power icon will give you the Restart option.
Press the SHIFT button and Hold it > click Restart > click Troubleshoot > Advanced options ……….
You will have a few options to choose from...…
System Restore, System Image Recovery, Startup repair etc.
Pick the one that is applicable to you.

I would choose System Restore > and picked one of the days when I did not have this problem as my restore point.
In case you want to understand more about System Restore, here is the tutorial:

There were no options at all, the only thing that was on the screen was the wallpaper. Chkdsk forced an update and has fixed the problem.
    Thanks all.
