The error message was from OneDrive still using the old folder name after you changed your user profile folder name.
If you want to use OneDrive, then linking it again using the new folder name instead should sort that for you.
I don't want to use onedrive though. That's why I unlinked it early on.
You should be good to go then if you're not having any other issues after changing the name.
No I was getting that error after changing the name even though onedrive had been unlinked prior to doing all this...That's why I'm confused why it's giving me this error.
Just tried again and it's still doing it, even though onedrive has been unlinked.
This is bad, I uninstalled Onedrive and it's still messing with me...I can't get rid of this crap!
I've tried everything, it's not working.

It's still giving you the OneDrive error even though it has been unlinked?
If so, see if linking OneDrive again using the new folder name location will stop it.
I tried linking and unlinking. Then I went into settings and turned off the folders and files so that it wouldn't sync anything. The Onedrive folder was empty so I tried again to change the name. I was still getting the error. When I was getting the error all my desktop icons were gone, documents folder and pictures folder empty...the only thing that remained was the downloads folder.
I just give up, it's not going to work. It's just insane how Microsoft forces onedrive and doesn't gives us the ability to rename the userfolder after it hijacks it and names it to whatever it wants. Stupid!
This is a more desperate measure, but you could:
- Reset Windows 10
- While resetting, set it up with a local account using the name "Summer" to have its user profile folder created using that name.
- Switch your local account to a Microsoft account.

Yea I just went through installing a fresh copy of Windows 10 because my old HDD crashed so I replaced not only that but my SSD. That’s when I noticed this today the day after installing windows. Just a pain in my behind don’t want to have to do it again. Just going to leave it. I’ll get used to it.
*shakes fist at microsoft*
I couldn't get over it, I just redid the computer ... again ...
