How Can I Have No-Password-Required Login

Thought it would be simple to find something like "do not require a password for log in". But I cant.

Looked in settings under....lockscreen. Right now when I first start, I get my windows 'picture', and it says my password was incorrect, try again, even though it just came up. This must be something simple to do somewhere, I dont get it why the info is not under...."lockscreen".

    Hello,

You could use Option One in the tutorial below to have Windows automatically sign in to an account at startup.

You could use the tutorial below to turn off require sign-in on wakeup.

Double check that you selected the correct account, and entered the correct password.

Just the one account I have shows. There's no place where it asks for a password (?). I check the box at top, then click on 'OK' and the window disappears.
Seems odd that I would check the box that says DO have the user enter name and password....when Im trying to get it so I do NOT have to enter password.

    Ah, that's why then.

You'll need to uncheck the box instead to have Windows auto sign-in to the account. Be sure to read all steps in step 5 of Option One.

Damn, I read it wrong, glossed over it too fast, thinking #4 said "...to turn ON automatic sign-in....

Thanks, that was easy, as I guessed it probably would be, somewhere. But, still, why the heck isnt the process simply listed in settings under.....'lockscreen'...or another obvious area?

    You're most welcome.

Maybe this will be in Settings eventually.
