    about being administrator


    i accidentally changed my account from administrator to standard and i cant use anything well. its always restricted.
    it says"To continue,type administrator password, and then click Yes."
    but the problem is that i dont remember keeping any password and i have tried al of my old passwords of my microsoft account yet that "yes" button is unreachable. please do help me

    Welcome to TenForums @gyanen

    You are not the first to make this mistake, and I'm sure you won't be the last. If yours was the only administrator account on the PC then it means that there are no other administrator accounts left on this PC and the UAC prompt will only have a 'NO' button available.

    There are ways to get your account back to being an administrator, though they can be a bit complicated to follow. Carefully read this thread by @Try3.

    If the Admin prompt has a greyed out or missing Yes button ...

    Once you have got administrator access back again, I recommend making a new local account and make it a an administrator. Then you'll have a 'spare' for emergencies.
