Trouble logging in to Windows 10

When at the start up screen
Before the Spring 2018 update I could simply tap enter on the keypad, then type in my pin using the keypad.

After the Spring 2018 update I have to click with the mouse before I can bet to the password entry screen.
This is very annoying as it is an extra step that needs to be performed.

Has anyone else seen this and can offer a fix?

    /Mike

    Just an outside chance...…
Possible that the computer is now a little slower responding to your tapping at Enter key ?

Yes I have waited long enough.
    All hard disk activity ceased.

It's a useability feau par (not sure if the spelling is right) now having to use two devices to log in when you could previously do it with one. I.e. just using the number pad on keyboard.

I wonder what if you use the Space bar instead of the Enter key, or any other key, for that matter.

Just tried taking the battery out (to force full start up) and no keys get me to the enter Pin screen.

I'm on the latest build, 1803 (17134.48). Both my desktop and laptop computers, just pressing the Num Lock key gets me to the PIN entry screen.

Good to know it's just my laptop.
However that make it even more frustrating.
